SpaceX Launches Falcon 9 Rocket

Elon Musk’s American private space company SpaceX plans to launch the 19th constellation of networked satellites of the Starlink system into Earth orbit soon. The cargo will be delivered to orbit by the Falcon 9 launch vehicle, which has previously successfully completed seven similar missions.

Starlink is a next-generation satellite network capable of providing the inhabitants of the Earth with broadband Internet access. The project was launched in February 2018. Its goal is to provide access to high-speed Internet anywhere in the world. In total, at the first stage of the network creation, it is planned to launch about 12 thousand satellites.

The launch of the Falcon 9 launch vehicle, which will deliver cargo to orbit, is scheduled from Complex 39A (LC-39A) of the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This is the 109th launch of the Falcon generation rockets.

8 minutes after launch, it is planned to return the multiple part of the Falcon 9 launch vehicle to the “Just Read the Instructions” autonomous spaceport droneship in the Atlantic Ocean.

Reference: Elon Musk’s company is the world leader in the number of satellites in the Earth orbit. Now there are more than 1000 of them, and in a few years their number should reach 42 thousand.

The Falcon 9 rocket, which is used to deliver Starlink satellites into orbit, can deliver a maximum of 60 vehicles in one flight. A larger number of satellites will be able to launch the space ship of Musk’s company – Starship.

The company has already started testing the Internet among ordinary users. For the equipment for receiving and sending the signal, you need to pay $499, the monthly subscription fee is $99, which is comparable and even less than that of the main providers in the United States.

The manufacturer promises a download speed of 50 to 150 MB/s. Based on the data obtained, the specialized media report that in practice this corresponds to reality, sometimes the indicators are even higher.
